Is the magician's mistake intentional or is it a real mistake? This is an interesting question.
The spectator is asked to choose a card (such as 8 of diamonds), then put it back and shuffle the deck of cards. The magician starts finding the card telepathically. The embarrassing thing is that the card the magician found is not the spectator's card!
When the audience think that the magician made a mistake, the magician picks up the wrong card and later a pattern gradually appears on the back of the card! That's right, this is the card the spectator chose!
